The First Aid at Work Requalification course complies with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and has been approved by the Health and Safety Executive.
It is aimed at First Aiders who hold a current three-year First Aid at Work certificate, but who are near the expiry date. First Aiders may attend this course up to three months before their certificate expires; if their certificate has already expired, they have 1 month's grace, If the expiry date is more than 1 month they need to attend a three-day First Aid at Work course.
The course refreshes the essential knowledge and skills that First Aiders need to carry out their role and deal confidently with major and minor injuries and illnesses.
The course runs between 09:00 - 17:00 over two consecutive days, with refreshments, lunch and all course materials provided. Assessment is by a practical skills test. Successful delegates then receive an HSE-approved certificate, valid for a further three years. Students will be required to bring their existing First Aid at Work certificate to the first day of the course.
