The Source scoop Hospitality Awards
The event, held at Sheffield City Hall, rewards the best in the city's vibrant hospitality industry, which includes hotels and conference venues.
Team members from The Source were nominated and shortlisted for seven awards in total and achieved three triumphs on the night, winning two awards and being a runner up in one category.
Katrina Ferris, Conference Co-ordinator at The Source, was awarded Sheffield Smile 2009 at the event. The award is voted for by Sheffield Star readers and honours the hospitality worker who brightens everyone's day by their warm and friendly personality, beaming with confidence and helping to make Sheffield a destination of choice.
Ron Adam, Caretaker at The Source, won the award for Unsung Hero, recognising those who work hard behind the scenes to ensure the business runs smoothly.
Nuno DaSilva was runner up in the Innovator Award for his enthusiasm to reduce cleaning supply expenditure and for his initiative to introduce additional safety features in conference rooms.
