Meet Eilis Marshall, Financial Controller at The Source. Eilis is our newest recruit and joined The Source team from Meadowhall Centre earlier this year. This month, our roving reporter quiz's Eilis on her role and what's on her Christmas list this year.

How long have you worked for The Source?
I only started at The Source in April this year, but have worked for Meadowhall for almost 5 years in total - doesn't the time fly by!

What does your job entail?
As our Director said just the other day "That's another job for Eilis"! I get involved in a lot of different things within the company.


My main job is producing the monthly management accounts for Meadowhall Education Centre and Meadowhall Training. 

I work with Janet Lee, Accounts Assistant, to ensure suppliers are paid on time, and that our customers pay us on time

My other jobs include:

• VAT returns
• Quarterly Board packs
• Year End accounts
• Charity accounts
• Any other financial information that may be required

I could probably go on but don't want to be stereotyped as a "boring" accountant!

What's the best thing about your job?
I get to work with lots of different people both within our organisation and externally, which makes my job very varied.

And the worst?
Auditors!

Any interesting hobbies?
I enjoy cross stitch (odd maybe, but I find it relaxing!) and the usual socialising with family and friends.

And the million dollar question for November... What have you asked Father Christmas for?
A new calculator!
