The Source Academy, one of the UK's leading training and skills organisations, is taking an innovative approach to the personal development and management coaching of its own staff. The company has chosen to work with newly launched company Digital Marcus, which provides a range of downloadable MP3s that offer all employees access to the kind of coaching that was often previously only available to CEOs and other industry leaders.
Digital Marcus Audios is the brainchild of top motivational speaker Marcus Child* and adventurer and entrepreneur, Miles Quitmann** who have joined forces to bring an exciting new twist to the field of personal development. The Digital Marcus audios are packed full of Marcus Child's 20 years experience of coaching politicians, business leaders and sports stars. They are designed to help businesses substantially reduce the size of their training budgets without compromising the ongoing development of their people by offering a cost effective alternative to some face-to-face training.
The Source Academy has purchased a corporate license of the Digital Marcus Audios for all staff which are made up of six audio programmes - each lasting about 40 minutes. They cover all the elements that are vital to strong leadership and communication including goal setting; the power of positive language; managing change in business and personal life; how to achieve five star customer service and crucially, the importance of physical and mental wellbeing. There is a mixture of engaging stories, humour, research and rhetorical questions that make everyone who hears Marcus think actively about what they are doing with their lives and how to get better at doing it well.
Ann Cadman, Managing Director at the Source Academy, explains: "As a training academy we understand the importance of having our own team in the best possible shape, so we can deliver great service to our customers and partners. Marcus Child is the best in his field at inspiring people and providing innovative ideas for change and improvement in both personal and business lives. His style is infectious and he gets his powerful messages across with humour and classic British subtlety - he is the British Tony Robbins. This is a wonderful addition to our armoury of learning programmes."
The audios can be run on a company intranet, a laptop, MP3 player/phone or burnt onto CDs for use in the car, on the train and at home. Prices start from £50 per employee dependent upon volume. Other early adopters include Deutsche Bank, Muller Dairy and Marriott Hotels.
"The British don't respond well to fluffy, cheesy, excitable motivational speakers so Digital Marcus audios are intelligent, insightful and utterly enthralling. They are a combination of great sustained learning and entertainment, combining affordable personal development and the mobility of digital technology," concludes Miles Quitmann.
