Daniel Moore is a 19 year old apprentice who feels his career path is now in the fast lane.
Employed by forward thinking firm, Insight, the global IT reseller has devised an innovative 30 month Apprenticeship programme that enables Daniel to experience three key business functions on a 10 month rotation.
Daniel is working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration as part of a learning framework developed by Insight and training provider The Source.
Gill Swain, People and Development Manager at Insight, said: "Insight is a proactive and forward-thinking organisation where we consider people to be our most valuable asset. We offer people a valuable opportunity to develop their skills in a sector-specific industry but also provide the opportunity to try other departments and ‘see how they fit'."
Daniel, who completed his first year of A-levels before joining Insight, said: "I have always wanted to work in IT and when the apprenticeship opportunity at Insight came up, I jumped at it. As well as providing me with a fantastic introduction to the business, the structure and support offered on this Apprenticeship means I am able to get hands-on experience and a real understanding of what's involved in most of the business functions.
"Once I get to the end of the Apprenticeship there are great career prospects both with Insight and its partner businesses. My career aspirations are to reach management level and that's something definitely achievable with Insight."
