The Source Picks up Star Business Award
The Source claimed the coveted prize (sponsored by Kennedys) at the ceremony, which took place in front of over 450 guests at Sheffield City Hall, as compére Clive Anderson revealed the successful businesses.
Ann Cadman, The Source Managing Director, said: "Winning Employer of the Year is a fantastic achievement for all at The Source Academy. We take care of our employees as they really are the backbone of our business. We are extremely grateful for this recognition and will be displaying the award proudly!"
The Employer of the Year Award rewards a business that is proactive in engaging with its workforce by involving employees in the company's development, keeping them abreast of what is happening within the business, training them so that they can contribute to the company's success and ensuring their general health.
Editor of The Star, Jeremy Clifford, said The Star Business Awards were the only awards that cover the whole of the Sheffield City Region. He added: "The Sheffield City Region is fast developing a fearsome reputation as a pioneering place in which to do business. We have much to be proud of in South Yorkshire - a region that is showing positive signs of regeneration and reinventing itself, to take on the economic challenges we face. We can celebrate the traditional industries in our region, but also look with excitement as the new technology-based businesses take a foothold in the county. Our Star Business Awards recognise all of this. The judges had a tough day working through the many entries to decide who should go forward on the shortlist."
