Vivienne, a mother of two returned to a working environment after an absence of 16 years. She was timid and frightened, lacking in confidence with a low self esteem and certainly did not believe she was capable of undertaking any training at all, let alone gain a qualification.

Through the Employer Training Pilot (ETP), initial assessment identified that Vivienne was indeed capable of pursuing a Level 2 qualification in Customer Service. She was still however, sceptical, but the identification of learning support for her raised her confidence and enthusiasm. The one to one support provided quickly raised confidence and self-esteem, increased her level of motivation and remarkably, Vivienne developed a real passion for her work and her NVQ.

The transformation that Vivienne has been through is tremendous. Not only did she become a highly motivated person she has also gained the respect of her work colleagues. Within months of starting on the programme she took on extra duties and responsibilities. She has now been promoted to duty manager.

Vivienne's achievements are outstanding. She has developed professionally and personally. Her appearance, self-respect and attitude have all been part of the transformation. She is indeed an inspiration for others to aspire to.
