Well known local artist Tony Byrne is showing a group of art students that drawing has nothing to do with football.

Tony, former resident artist at Meadowhall Centre for sixteen years, is giving students the chance to improve their art and design skills by offering specialist group tuition.

Delighted with the attendance of his classes, Tony said:
"It's a great opportunity for me to pass on my experience and expertise to the students. Each and every one of them is improving week by week; it's great to see how they are progressing."

Tony is currently working on a piece of artwork commissioned by The Source to create a winter wonderland scene. The artwork will be seen on the company's annual Christmas cards...watch this space!

Art classes are available every Saturday at The Source, 11am - 1pm, for children aged 8 years and over.
