The Source caretaker Ron Adam has recently received recognition for excellence in customer service during Meadowhall's recent Customer Service Awards.

Conference delegates usually hear Ron's jangling keys as he comes to the rescue to help with any issues that may arise. Ron has been part of The Source since day one and has seen the conference and hospitality department develop into one of the Sheffield's leading conference venues. Eager to lend a hand he can be seen carrying out cleaning, caretaking, security and even DIY duties.

Ron's manager, Mike Denby, nominated him for the award. Mike said:
"Ron is part of the furniture at The Source and I'm delighted that he won the award and gained the recognition that he deserves. He's got a heart of gold and I'm very proud to have him as part of the team."

Ron added:
"I didn't even realise that I'd been nominated for an award and it came as quite a shock when I was told that I'd won. I've got my trophy on the mantelpiece and my wife has very kindly thought of uses for my gift vouchers."
