First things first girls, Tell us what you both do at The Source?
Pauline - I'm the Catering Supervisor. I supervise the food preparation and make sure we are producing food of a high quality for our customers in the café and upstairs in the meeting rooms. I'm like a female version of Gordon Ramsey apart from... I don't shout and swear.

Nuala - I'm the Assistant Manager and spend most of my time working in the hospitality side of the business. Its my job to ensure delegates in the meeting rooms receive their lunch and refreshments on time and with a smile. You'll most probably see me on the corridors pushing my trolley and making sure everything is ‘tip top' for our delegates.

What are your hobbies and interests?
Pauline - One of my main hobbies is reading. I will read pretty much anything. I'm currently reading a book by Julian Clary, it's a good read and I can't seem to put it down. I also like my holidays too. My husband and I have our own apartment in Tenerife so we spend as much time there as we can. It's a nice little apartment that we let out to the public, its ideal for families and young couples and the rates are really competitive. If you are interested you call....

Pauline, stop plugging your apartment, you sound like an advert. Nuala, what are your hobbies?
Nuala - Like most people at my age my main hobby is socialising with friends at my local public house. I allocate a good sized amount of time for this, I think its quite healthy to keep in touch with ones friends! I also enjoy camping in sunny old England.

What is the best thing about your job?
Pauline - It's the people. I like to be around people at all ages and chat to them. We have some weird and wonderful conversations in the kitchen. I'm fortunate to supervise a lovely team who enjoy their work. To me that's the best thing about my job and why I love it.

Nuala - Similar to Pauline, I really enjoy working with the team, especially when its really busy and we are all pulling together. I also really enjoy interacting with delegates in the meeting rooms. I think my role is important to the delegates as I see them at regular intervals throughout the day. If they need anything I'm someone that can help. It's rewarding when you have helped their day to run smoothly.

What is the worst thing about your job?
Pauline - There isn't anything I dislike about my job, otherwise I'd get another one. Having said there is one thing that nobody likes to do in any kitchen and that is... washing the pots!

Nuala - Yeah, I agree with Pauline... good answer.

In your Job, What are you most well known for?
Pauline - Hopefully its my cooking abilities, I make an excellent fruit scones and sponge cakes. If I'm not well known for that then it could also be my sense of humour!

Nuala - I'm pretty famous around these parts for my coffees. I make a mean Cappuccino and Espresso. You'll have to sample it the next time your visiting The Source café bar.
