The Source at Meadowhall's very own Katrina Ferris and Nuno DaSilva have been short listed for the next stage in the Hospitality Sheffield Awards 2008.
The Hospitality Sheffield Awards 2008 seek to acknowledge and celebrate individuals who have contributed to business tourism industry within Sheffield. Judges are looking for individuals that make a real difference to enhance the customer experience going above and beyond expectations and delivering measurable benefits.
Katrina who has worked at The Source since February 2003. During this time she has supported the growth of the conference department, building up strong customer relationships in order to achieve a repeat business rate of 89%. Katrina was short listed for the ‘Exceptional Customer Service' Award.
Nominated in the ‘Shooting Star' category, Nuno has worked in The Source Conference Department since July 2005. During this time has completed both a foundation and advanced Business Administration Apprenticeship. At the age of nineteen Nuno was given the responsibility of managing the room bookings and conferencing on Saturdays and Thursdays.
Katrina and Nuno's manager, Mike Denby, said "The whole business is so proud of them and their achievements. With Katrina you have a hugely professional individual who consistently produces excellent customer service on a daily basis. In Nuno you have a young chap who is an inspiration to youngsters entering the industry and a shining example of the future of Business Tourism. It's a pleasure to work alongside both of them and fingers crossed they will receive further recognition at the award ceremony."
The next stage is for short listed entries to attend an event on Wednesday 3rd September to celebrate their success so far. It's also an opportunity for them to meet some of the judging panel.
The Hospitality Sheffield Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 18th September, 7pm at Sheffield City Hall. On behalf of all The Source team, good luck.
