Sarah Borrill recently started at The Source as Retail Recruitment Executive, supporting retailers every step of the way through recruitment.
So then Sarah, our fiery new red head, what does your job entail?
I am matching the right person to the right job. So therefore assisting the person looking for work and the retailer who requires staff members. This involves adding job vacancies onto the website and the Meadowhall Centre job sheet, reading through CVs and interviewing. By meeting people, I can also identify if an Apprenticeship or further training at The Source may be more suitable to helping the individual build their career.
What are you enjoying most about your new job?
I love working with people and it's great to know that I have helped someone into employment who has perhaps struggled in the past. I have also helped businesses find a great member of staff. It sounds cheesy, but it's true!
How will you help organisations?
I help organisations find exactly what they are looking for whilst cutting down on their workload and in turn getting the right person into the business. Just call me Wonderwoman!
How would you describe yourself?
Friendly, hardworking and professional, but on the other hand a bit mischievous!!!! I am sure several of my colleagues can vouch for that!
What are your hobbies and interests?
I have two children aged two and a half and nearly five so when I'm not working I am busy being a mum!!!
And the question on everyone's lips... what are the people like at The Source?
Everyone is great and work as a team, helping each other whenever possible. As a new member of the team I found that everyone was willing to offer advice to assist me with my job role and quite rightly so, pointed me in the direction of The Source Cafe Bar!
